Description

Sometimes the chan window is over the buddy list, which hides what we're looking for. Maybe checking for the OFTC notice message in the chan window would be more robust.

Focus the Buddy List before looking for something happening in it (Closes: #8161).

This should make the Pidgin tests more robust.
