Feature #7597: Update & reorganize translation documentation
Document glossaries for different languages
https://tails.boum.org/contribute/how/translate/ should say, for each language, what glossary the team is using.

I wrote to the l10n list. https://mailman.boum.org/pipermail/tails-l10n/2014-March/000958.html

For the German translations I tried to follow the Gnome guidelines
and their glossaries
For words not in these lists it was helpful to see
how they are translated (or not translated) in Wikipedia.

Italian team here. Cannot speak for other people in the team, but I'm
using this one , which is a bit old but still good for some terms,
with this , which is not properly a glossary but a series of
typographical and grammatical guidelines on how to translate free software

About Transifex glossaries: I wasn't able to download an up-to-date version, even after registering. I sent them an email about that.
Answer from Transifex:
I just checked your profile and noticed that you are not a member of any Organization/Project at the moment, in order to be able to following instructions
What you should do (with the right credential), in order to download a glossary, is click on the Project you want on your Dashboard, then on "_more details_" near the "Languages" pane (under your "Activity" graph) and hit the "_View glossary_" button.
There you are able to select an available language and after that, hit the down arrow button next to "+ Add new term", so that you download the glossary.
That's how you could manage the whole procedure.

Maybe we should not only have a German and Portuguese translator with at least some privileges on Transifex, but also a member of the French team.
Wouldn't this also be necessary to make sure that people don't waste their time translating Tails related strings into French? (As mentioned in the Team Duties section https://tails.boum.org/contribute/how/translate/.)

A note about our plans, so everybody can object early on:
The translation page should get links to a separate page
for each translation team. These pages can list the glossaries,
other resources and agreements of the respective team.
I can also host a small Tails specific glossary containing
terms that don't appear in the other glossaries.

This has been documented through the parent task.
Ticket #8085 has been created to add more info for pt-br.
The non active website translations (it, es, tr) will need to document their glossaries, once they get their own page.
